The Big Eat
The Big Eat is an annual food festival showcasing some of Denver’s best and newest restaurants and local brewers. It’s been awhile since I’ve attended an event in at the lovely Denver Center for the Performing Arts. They never disappoint. The Big Eat was no different.
That morning I had an opportunity to work along side the Two Parts crew to set up for the evening’s festivities. They organize some of the dopest events around food and beverage. It was pretty exciting to walk into the space to see the final result. Over 40+ food concepts and nearly 15+ beverage companies spread throughout the top and bottom levels.
There were a few standout items. First, Happy Leaf Kombucha served up a delightful Hibiscus, lemon and ginger beverage. This will definitely become my new go to for them. The Regional, which is located within Avanti F&B, created a delicious PB&J ice cream. Rosenberg’s Bagels had a pretty cool impromptu display of their house smoke lox. Chef Stippich at The Nickel showed off the perfect summer soup, chilled cantaloupe topped with bits of bacon. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the variety of food from so many great vendors. Looking forward to seeing what is in store for next year’s showdown!
