6 Summer Seafood Spots

This warm weather is a reminder that summer is quickly approaching. Along with brunches, and day parties, I also love to eat on the lighter side. Seafood is that perfect balance of light and filling. This list is a dedicated to a few of my favorite restaurants serving up some the best fresh catches. Each destination has a number of seafood dishes that are sure to satisfy a wide range of flavor palettes.

Avelina: Flounder Sandwich

Avelina is constantly switching up there menu to incorporate variety with seasonal flare. Their dinner menu features octopus, sea bass, mussels and a delicious lobster ravioli.

Bamboo Sushi (LoHi)

Portland based Bamboo Sushi, is by far my new favorite sushi destination. They are serving up some of the most unique selections of fresh fish from around the world.

Blue Island Oyster Bar and Seafood: Thai Calamari

Blue Island Oyster Bar is one of my new go to happy hour spots. This Cherry Creek eatery has a little bit of everything for those who love seafood.

Denver Poke Company: Chili Mango Salmon Signature Poke Bowl

The guys at Denver Poke Company only concern is to provide the best quality product to their customer and let the freshness of their fish speak for itself. Knife skills are crazy!

Fish N Beer (Rino)

We all know the love I have for my beloved Fish N Beer. Happy hour is on point! The food is served on the fly. The staff is incredible. What more could you want for a restaurant?

Ohana Island Kitchen

This visit has been years in the making. I am of the belief that Ohana Island Kitchen is one of the first spots that popularized poke in the Denver area. Their menu is rooted in traditional Hawaiian recipes. You can taste the authenticity in each bite! Shoutout to this husband and wife team.
