Sip | Eat + Drink

August 28, 2018

You may have seen the newly renovated Sip | Eat + Drink, sitting on the corner of 14th and Champa. The former Crave location mostly attracted attention from theater and conference attendees. Sip is tapping into the population of nearby residents and downtown workers. The close proximity to my job has allowed me numerous opportunities to dine here. And I must say, it is one of my new go-to spots for crafted cocktails and my beloved Taco Tuesday.

This spot is an entire vibe! There is a wrap around bar area where there are generally two or three bartenders creating delicious cocktails. The Champa side is table seating with a corner lounge area. The side facing 14th consist of high top community tables. I love the new layout. The removal of the stuffy table seating and clunky booths has made the space more open and functional. The decor is sleek. If this doesn’t persuade you to have a drink or two, I don’t know what will.

Sip serves up Happy Hour food and drinks on a daily basis. Taco Tuesday specials include (2) tacos + margarita for only $10. The tacos are bomb. No lie. The Chef’s selection of the assorted charcuterie board might be the most impressive thing on their menu. It’s massive! We had about 4 cheese, 3 types of meat and an assortment of accompaniment. Perfect shareable plate if you’re in the mood for something on the lighter side.

In the area of handcrafted cocktails is where Sip truly shines. Bar Manager Scott and his crew go the extra mile to deliver some unique concoctions. Highlights from these selections are the Crystal Clear Old Fashioned and the Jazz In The Park. Cody and the entire team will take amazing care of you when it comes to creating something that fits your taste. Add Sip | Eat + Drink to your todo list. Tell them T sent you.
