I remember there being an exciting vibe in the city when STK announced they’d be opening a location in Downtown Denver. There was a trend of major concepts entering the scene hoping to cash in on the growing market. There was something about STK’s move that had me thinking that someone had finally gotten this right! Outside looking in, it seemed to be a perfect fit for the new wave of translates and local diners alike. Nearly 2 years later, it’s looking like a match made in heaven.
It was only recently that I paid my first visit to STK. It’s quickly become one of my favorite happy hour destinations. This place is an entire mood. I love how there are multiple distinct seating areas. As you walk in you’re greeting by a vibrant bar area. Don’t forget to pose for a selfie at the branded Hotpoint photo booth. Upload that thing straight to your social feeds! Pull up to the bar where the skillful mixologist will be serving up concoctions found exclusively at STK. I highly recommend the Strawberry Cobbler: Belvedere and fresh muddled strawberry with a graham cracker crust. Next up is the potent Eden's Kiss: Hennessy v.s., Amaro Montenegro, pomegranate and pink peppercorn. Take 50% off of Signature Cocktails during the social hour.
I only rock with happy hours that serve up the best of both worlds. Food is essential. Great food is what makes a concept a contender. STK is bringing that fire when it comes to their small plates. We devoured damn near everything on the happy hour menu. Here are a few faves.

Tuna Tartare Tacos
No lie, I could eat this burger once a week. The proportion is ideal for a midday fill. This little baby had an incredible char while still remaining moist inside. The Tuna Tartare Tacos get love for taking a traditional steakhouse item and translating it to a modern mouthful. Each of the items tasted would be something I’d order again. It all depends on your mood and flavor palate. If you’re looking for a space downtown that is perfect for date night or girls night out, you’ve found it. STK brings the big city muscle to the small town hustle.
